Starting her career at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, May Mak, our Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong since 2011. She has more than 20 years of experience in financial management, auditing, accounting, corporate governance and company secretarial matters.

In addition to providing technical and strategic advice on financial management, she is also responsible for reinforcing corporate governance practices. At Goldwave, May offers professional advice on laws and regulations to the Board of Directors. Competing under a rapidly changing business environment, her contribution to the board on tackling challenges relating to new technologies is highly regarded. 

For the initial public offering (IPO) project of Shunten International (Holdings) Limited (Stock Code: 932) at GEM Board in 2013 and its subsequent transfer to Main Board in 2015, May was the person-in-charge of both projects. 

May is a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She is also a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute and the Chartered Governance Institute.

Another Side of May

May is dedicated to nurturing young people and serving the community. As a founding member of the Orion Astropreneur Space Academy (Hong Kong), May actively participates in promoting the development of young global leaders through specially designed journeys and wicked challenges to welcome the arrival of the NewSpace Economy.
