Goldwave is immensely proud to be one of the key stakeholders to deliver the 1st, “Slew & Lowering Bridge” Construction Project in Hong Kong, which consists of two bridges, one Pedestrian and the other Vehicular. Both bridges were designed and built to sit on top of each other and were spanned over a light rail line. Gold medal award was granted for the Best Construction Engineering Method Statement, which was judged based upon precision design engineering, project management and best safety practice in terms of safety in design and on-site installation.
Goldwave’s significant scopes are material supply, fabrication, simulation, built and erection on a full-size temporary steel structure comprising a large turntable and supporting inclined columns which weighed circa 1250 Tons in total. This specially designed steel structure, perfectly facilitated a safe rotation of the bridges that span 52 meters in length and over a live rail line. The operation included a combination of slewing, lowering and final installation and anchoring, which was successfully completed in a safe and efficient manner within a 4-day window.
