2,100 Tons Large Structural Steel Frame comprising two complete floors for a composite redevelopment building
Goldwave’s in-house Special Project Team was proud to have recently completed a single lift of a 40 meters clear span heavy strength steel structure frame (S460 grade steel), total weight exceeding 1,000 Tons. By utilizing modern-day technology in terms of strand jacking methods along with precision equipment, our heavy lifting methodology and technique were designed and implemented around best safety practices, high quality and cost-effective on-time delivery.
The plot in Middle Road, a former multi-storey car park next to the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel and Towers is a unique and well located site to be redeveloped into a 22 Storey Ginza-Style commercial complex of gross floor area 42,000 square meters.
The Developer selected Goldwave’s steel structure solution over traditional concrete construction due to the rapid speed of construction schedule, generate higher building efficiency of usable area which translating into value-added economic benefits.
200 Meters Mixed Use Commercial Complex (45-storey)
Followed by a great deal of effort had been put into promoting the added value of steel structure. Goldwave was honored to be selected by Hip Hing Construction (China) Co. Ltd. as client’s nominated structural steel contractor to design, fabricate and erect the superstructure of a 200 meters height (45-storey) mixed use commercial complex situated at the prime location in Guiwan area, Qianhai commercial district.
This project crafted a new milestone of Goldwave to set our first footprint in the map of Greater China.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Structural design, supply, fabrication and erection
Goldwave’s Smart Steel Structure Solution designed for this Mega Commercial Complex demonstrates to the Client how a steel structure can outperform a conventional reinforced concrete solution for this type of project. Faster construction time, greater precision on site due to factory controlled fabrication off site, higher productivity on site, fewer and smaller columns creating more efficient use of area. Earning the trust of Sun Hung Kai Properties as a Long Term Strategic Partner.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Supply, Fabrication and Installation of structural steel stanchions
Goldwave offered a one-stop-shop design and build solution(s) for two highly efficient steel frame twin towers. The use of a steel structure could create an additional 5% net leasable area and a ceiling height of up to 3 meters. Basically, the slimmer main columns maximized the flexibility of the internal layouts and enhanced users’ experience.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Structural design, Supply, Fabrication, and installation
Followed by the success of promoting the benefits of steel structure to client’s project, the mixed-use commercial development at 98 How Ming Street and recent success project delivery of Government Data Center located at Cheung Sha Wan. Goldwave was honored to be the structural steel contractor for structural design, fabrication and installation of phase I development. We trust that our effective steelwork proposal and solid project references will be considered with high degree of confidence for the next phase development.
H Code is a pioneering leisure development that is designed for flexibility and versatility. It is located at upper Pottinger Stone Street in Central, an area of Hong Kong known for its ultra-high density and compact business nature.
The site was considered not buildable by using traditional building methods because of its site constraints. Goldwave provided an effective steel frame solution which overcame the challenges of geographical complexity as the site is located on a slop; low capacity foundation had been built and tiny site area provided very limited storage for building materials. The 22-storey building structure of 12,632 square meters of gross floor area was completed in 14 months. H-code itself won the building design award from the American Institute of Architects.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Structural design, Fabrication and Installation of structural steel frame
The Phase II extension of the Union Hospital includes an additional four floors built on top of the existing hospital which surgery facilities in operation. Goldwave’s outperformed alternative steel frame solution and construction methodology mitigate the big concern of disruption of noise and smoke.
The extension occupies a total floor area of 6,000sqm and accommodates 100 extra beds, a day centre for patients undergoing minor surgery, consulting rooms for specialists and offices.
SCOPE Of WORK
Supply, Fabrication and Installation of structural steel frame
To cope with the emerging demand of temporary medical facility which shall be put into use in this fall winter, Goldwave endeavors our utmost to complete the cabin steel frame within 3 to 4 weeks from contract awarded, material delivery, 24 hours round- the-clock fabrication off-site towards non-interrupted installation schedule on-site.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Supply, Fabrication and installation within 2 months
